This workshop will examine the major factors and forces of poverty and inequality from a global perspective. In the morning, we will discuss the trends and consequences of global inequality and poverty and efforts to reduce them and provide for basic human needs and human potential. In the afternoon, we will discuss the historical interface of inequality/poverty, colonialism, and environment.
